Our sources

Tariff Lens works from publicly filed pipeline tariffs: documents that operators file with FERC or a state regulator, published by the regulator and by the operators themselves. These are public record, available to anyone.

We link to the issuing party's own published document. We do not re-host, mirror, or redistribute operator PDFs. What we deliver is extracted rate data in your schema, not a copy of anyone's document.

We access published filings in accordance with the terms each publisher sets.

Accuracy and reliance

What we deliver is a derived extraction. It is not the tariff, and it is not a substitute for it. Where our data and the filed tariff disagree, the filed tariff is authoritative.

Every record carries the page and the source line it was read from, precisely so that it can be checked. We expect customers to verify against the official filing before relying on any value for a commercial, contractual or regulatory decision, and we make no warranty on this page that the data is complete or free of error. Specific accuracy commitments, where they apply, belong in a signed agreement rather than on a public web page.

Independence and affiliation

Binmodules is an independent company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, certified by, or acting on behalf of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, any state regulator, or any pipeline operator. We hold no special or non-public access to filings; we work from the same public record available to anyone.

Where company, pipeline or tariff names appear in our materials or in delivered data, they are used solely to identify the filings from which data is derived. No claim of ownership, association or endorsement is intended or implied.

Commercial and technical terms

Data handling, processing, hosting, deployment options, security posture and service commitments are set out in the agreement we enter into with each customer, and discussed directly, under a non-disclosure agreement where that is appropriate. They are not published here.
